Celebration of Life
A downloadable game
A game of crafting.
A game of strong emotions.
A game about the death of someone close.
Celebration of Life is a GM-less game where you'll frame scenes and play through the emotional aftermath of a loved one’s death. After each scene, you’ll record your character’s emotions on your Emotion Record, slowly building a visual of your character’s journey as they experience loss. At the end of each session, each player will work on a piece of art using the colors you pick for your Emotion Record. After a few sessions, you will have an artifact of play that represents your character’s emotional progression. What emotions drove them? How did they shift and change? How did their emotions affect those of the others?
Celebration of Life is a heavy game, with death and loss at the forefront.
Celebration of Life was developed by Chase Kurkowski and Seren Briar on Gamestorm, a podcast you can find on any of your favorite listening apps. If you would like to support Gamestorm and receive all of the games we make at no additional cost, you can also find us on Patreon!
